SUMMARY
The book is dedicated to a most obscure part
of the Second World War — the Battle of Kharkov fought in May 1942.
The Germans did not have time to enjoy their victory but the
Soviet historians did their utmost to hush up the details of that
defeat of the Red Army. The 80 pages of the book dwell on the strategic
concepts of the warring parties, course of hostilities and
analysis of the reasons for the defeat of the Soviet
troops, with the author substantiating his position with historical
records and 104 photographs. There are 12 colour pictures
in the book as well.
